The King Mackerel bite is really starting to turn on. The Dolphin bite is slacking off, but the Kings are picking up the slack. We have caught fish up to 30lbs this past week, with a lot of teenage fish being caught. The good news is the best bite seems to be within 10 miles of the beach, which may explain the lack of Dolphin bites this past week.
Sailfish is the other big news this week. More and more are being reported caught and released with most being caught within 20 miles of the beach and the majority
being caught within 10 miles of the beach. I have a trip lined up for this weekend just to target the illusive Sail, so wish me luck!!Inshore, the flounder bite continues to get better and the redfish are chewing, if you can find them. There are plenty of Spanish Mackerel to be caught just off the beach.
The fishing continues to be great and it has been one of the best seansons for Kings, Sails and Dolphin that we have had in a long time.
