Hello from Surf City!
Thanks to Al at North Carolina Pier Fishing Society for this holiday week fishing report! Keep 'em coming Al!
Here is hoping everyone had a great and safe 4th of July. Fishing
remains good along the coast.
Offshore - Dolphin in abudance with Wahoo, Sailfish, Kings and
spadefish, spanish at the wrecks.
Blues, croaker, flounder, pompano, big pompano, puppies, specs, reds,
and sheepshead in the surf and at most piers. This is the first week in
a while the Observer is not reporting big drum at Ocracoke.
Jack is contemplating a trip to Holden/Oak Island area and they are
still catching a lot of fish there including big pompano. I hope Jack
goes and gives a full report. I have a funeral this weekend or I would
be considering making a quick trip as well.
Johnny is reporting mullets, croaker spot and improving flounder
fishing at Topsail with puppies at the inlets.
Only 15 days until I am on Hatteras for a full week.
