Ran across these reports, since I don't have any local reports, I'll post these. Maybe something local will turn up soon.

Affordable Charters Fishing Report 12-27-10

"The fishing has been a little slow due to 46 degree water temperature. We are still catching a few speckled trout. Also there are several drum still around but they are schooled up & laying still so not really biting. But as soon as we get those 60 degree days forecast for later this week they should start moving around & feeding so keep your fishing gear ready. Hope everyone has a healthy, happy New Year. Keep fishing & stay safe."

Short Fishing Report 12/24/10
REDFISHING IS GOOD WHEN THE WEATHER COOPERATES!!!
[quote]
"............... Now to short fishing report. We are catching good numbers of redfish when the weather cooperates. The reds are schooled up on the flats and in the creeks of the lower Cape Fear area. The sightfishing has been good when the winds are light which has been rare lately. On the windier days we are hiding back in the creeks and picking up a few fish blindcasting artificials and fishing live mud minnows to known productive areas."

"Happy Holidays and New Year to all. We have been catching lots of redfish on all the trips last week. Even on the cold and windy days we have been catching redfish, all on lures. Strikeking glass minnows in dark colors, gulp alive in shrimp and pogey patterns have been working the best. Remember to fish them slow, the fish are cold just like we are. It looks like the weather is going to break around the weekend, so If you want to go catch plenty of redfish, give me a call 910-264-1807. WINTER RATES IN FULL EFFECT."
