Another Day, Another Sea Mullet

Hello from Surf City!
After yesterday was a bust due to the weather, a beautiful morning found Dad, brother Jesse, and myself on Jolly Roger Pier going after that ever elusive sea mullet......... or anything else that would bite. And bite everything else did! Sharks, sting rays, skates, and more sharks and more stingrays. All was not lost though, we did manage one nice mullet, and one large puffer. Both were cleaned and in the freezer waiting for a few friends to join them so there will be enough to stink up the pan. As the day progressed, the wind picked up, changed direction, and brought cool air back to the beach. The nice balmy day was over. It's cold and windy tonight, but the morning holds a promise of warmer and sunny weather. The high will be about 70, but rather windy, with west wind between 9 and 16 mph, with gusts as high as 26 mph. A few mullets with lots of sharks and rays were caught at Surf City Pier, and the same at Sea View Pier. No report from the surf. Surf temperatures are about 60, so it shouldn't be but a couple of weeks of sunshine, and the mullets and blues will be in full swing, along with some speckled trout, then spanish. Get ready! See ya on the beach in the morning!

Till next time....
