Hello from Surf City! I am hearing that the speckled trout are really thick at Sea View Pier, and they are in the surf all the way to the inlet. I would like to get up that way and check it out. Maybe in a few days. There are a lot of reds in the flats off the ICW. They are hitting gulp baits as well as live baits, finger mullets, and even baby croakers. The flounder bite in the ocean continues to get better, if you can find a spot that doesn't have sharks cruising the beach. I have never seen sharks like this right in the breakers. Must be a lack of food for them farther out. Flounder fishing in the waterway (ICW) and tidal creeks is still good. Fish the deep holes with finger mullets or carolina rigged gulp saltwater. For some real doormat flounder, go to snows cut at Carolina Beach. Water is full of them, so I am hearing. Go gettum!
