Outstanding spanish mackerel bite for the last two days! The fish have been on fire early in the morning and late in the afternoon. The blues have been mixed in and have been biting throughout the day off and on. The mullet continue to bite well when the wind blows out of the S or SW.
Water temperature is hovering just below 70 degrees. When running in from offshore yesterday afternoon we found 75 degree water just 8 miles off the beach! It won't be long now!
Offshore the mahi have started moving in. We had a great catch of mahi, wahoo, and big mako yesterday. Everyone I talked to reported good to outstanding mahi fishing with a few wahoo mixed in.
More to come as the weekend progresses!
