The first several spanish mackerel of the year were landed on the Jolly Roger this morning. The wind is blowing 20 mph out of the SW and the water is a mixed green color, but the few people out there throwing gotcha plugs had a good morning. In addition to the spanish they landed some nice blues. The mullet bit well yesterday and last night. Fishing is really starting to pick up all up and down the beach. I also saw the first sheepshead of the year landed while fishing yesterday evening.
The forecast looks great for this coming weekend! Fishing should be good one way or another. If the water gets muddy the mullet should bit well, and if it clears up the spanish and blues should be on.
Hope you see you soon,
