2009 NC Recreational Coastal Waters Guide
Went surf fishing in Topsai Beach today. Wind was out of the south, but blowing hard. Fished with cut shrimp on a bottom rig, and had another baited with cut mullet looking for reds or blues. Only caught one small puffer, but enjoyed the day. Donna and I stopped by IGA in Surf City, and met a guy that has several nice virginia mullet in his cooler. He had caught them last night. Oh, one more thing. I found my first sand flea of the season. Only found one, and dug a bunch. They should be closer to the surface soon.
