King, Cobia at Sea View

Hello from Topsail Beach. Just got the report from Sea View Pier. They caught a king on June 2, and are catching cobia, mullets, flounder, hog fish and pompano on bottom rigs. Casters are catching blues, and spanish, but in smaller numbers than last week. There was a huge hatteras blue caught by king angler, There have been small runs of spots also. Jolly Roger report is much the same as Sea View, until today, and then nothing. Reports are not much, if anything biting today. Surf City Pier reports a few spanish and blues, but not much else. Red drum are still biting in the tidal creeks on the incoming tide, but the bite has slowed significantly the last two days. Wish I could spice up the report, but just nothing out there. On a positive note, I walked the beach today, and the water is full of bait from tiny glass fish to what looked like finger mullet, but I really couldn't tell. Shrimp are plentiful in the creeks, and they are about three inches long. Throw your nets just off the grass.

I am hearing the dredge is working New Topsail Inlet now. Hope they finish it before they go this time......
Just a thought, could the state use some of the Saltwater Fishing License money to dredge?
