2008 NC Recreational Coastal Waters Guide
Hello from Topsail Beach! Donna and I walked over to the beach this afternoon and fished the incoming tide for a couple of hours. Didn't get a bite. Saw no bait in the water, should be here soon. I understand the piers are still catching a few mullet, spot, small flounder, some blues on bottom rigs, and some nice size black drum in the surf area. Weather looks great for the coming week, Should warm the surf considerably. Looking for blues on gotcha plugs when the water clears. Spanish should be here within the next two weeks, if the water warms sufficiently.
The water temp is 64*. The wind is from the SW at 5 to 10 mph.
