Inshore July Fishing

Inshore July fishing has been tough since the July 4Th weekend, low pressure fronts have been moving through the Cape Fear Region for the last week, water temperatures are high, red drum bite has been off.
Live bait has been plentiful, the Cape Fear River has been loaded with schools of menhaden from the dredge pond to the Fort Fisher Ferry landing.
Flounders are being caught inside with a good bite this past week at the Exxon Docks in downtown Wilmington,I mainly fish in the Buzzard Bay and the creeks behind Bald Head Island we are catching flounders, red drum bite has not been consistent.
Thank,God for the rain we really needed it at Carolina Beach,N.C.
