Trail Divisions: Flounder (limited to 50 boats) & Red Drum (limited to 50 boats)
Boats can enter both Flounder Division and Red Drum Division.
Trail Entry Fee: $300 per boat for Flounder Division; $300 per boat for Red Drum Division
Boats still must pay to enter each individual event, but boats will not have to pay an entry fee for Trail Championship event.
Trail Points: Point system is based on weight of fish in hundredths (ex. 7.65 lb. fish equals 7.65 points). Top teams will be determined by heaviest point/weight total of three heaviest flounder or three heaviest red drum over course of the Trail.
No Minimum Entry: Don't have to fish all five events--fish as many of the five events as you wish.
Trail Championship Qualifying: Top 10 boats through Carolina Beach Inshore Challenge in each division (heaviest three-fish aggregate) qualify for invite-only Championship.
Trail Championship: This invite-only event will be held Sunday, September 15, at Inlet Watch Marina for both the Flounder Division and the Red Drum Division.
Trail Payouts: $27,000 (based on 50 boats in each division), and Trail money is paid out through individual event payouts ($15,200) and Trail Championship ($11,800).
Trail Individual Event Payouts:
Flounder (Ocean Isle, WB, Southport, and CB): 1st-$950, 2nd-$570, 3rd-$380 (in all four events)
Red Drum (Ocean Isle, Topsail, WB, and CB): 1st-$950, 2nd-$570, 3rd-$380 (in all four events)
Trail Championship Payouts:
Flounder--1st-$3000, 2nd-$1750, 3rd-$1150
Red Drum--1st-$3000, 2nd-$1750, 3rd-$1150
Family Friendly Rules: As many anglers on boat as you like, can use live or dead bait, and fish don't have to be weighed in alive (check each individual tournament's rules for a more complete listing).
