I woke up early today about 5 am. The rain had finally stopped, so I decided to hit the beach and throw a mirro-lure for a while, which turned out to be a very short while. The ocean was beautiful, and very angry. Huge waves and white water! After a few minutes the rain came back so I grabbed my bucket and headed to the truck. On the access steps the bottom fell out. Long story short, I got soaked, with water even getting in my waders.
As I read the morning report from Surf City Pier today, I was thinking how I would miss their morning video report after they close. I would like to thank the folks at Surf City Pier for their morning report. I am going to miss starting my day without the SC Pier report each morning. But they will be back in March to keep us informed.
A note: Surf City Pier will be closing in a few days so if you haven't already, get your 2015 Season Pass before they close. The speckled trout will be around all the way to December something, and you can't get on the pier after they close unless you have a key, so don't procrastinate.
Visit the Surf City Pier website (http://www.surfcityoceanpier.com/) or their Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/surfcitypier) to get their morning report.
Till next time....
Tight lines!
