I haven't been watching the weather, so I am not sure where it is coming from, but the surf is really rough. The surfers are out in force, and the waves are breaking half way out the pier. I didn't see or hear of any fish being caught anywhere in the surf, but inside in the sound and creeks off the ICW, now that's another story. I am hearing from a reader that he is catching red drum and speckled trout everyday on Berkley Gulp baits and light weight red head lead jigs. He says fish the creeks after the sun has warmed the shallow water. So tomorrow, I plan to hit the creeks and flats with the kayak. I'll keep you posted.
